Introduction

In my testimony, I will emphasize what we know about the costs of diabetes and, in turn, potential value stemming from relatively new therapies for the disease (and related conditions). I’ll conclude by emphasizing principles that can help guide policy aimed at alleviating both the health and non-health costs associated with this condition.
